Camp is over! What a beautiful weekend we had again up at the Leelanau School . We arrived on Friday and did a mile time trial. Saturday we ran twice while mixing in some kayaking down the local river. Sunday we again ran twice while making our yearly trip to the 450' dune to the lake. Most of us ventured down this steep embankment while others (Phil and Peck) did not. Monday morning the paybacks were served, we went on another run and headed home.

Assisting this year at camp were Phil Whitlock, Nate Peck, and Kami Allers (Knapp). They made camp a great experience for all of the runners.

While the warning was posted for many months, it was not heeded and the boys brought down their vengeance in the form of five gallon buckets of water and water balloons on Monday morning. That was followed by a brisk 35 minute run and the final breakfast of camp.

The food was once again amazing as was the company. Hopefully, this camp will serve to jump start our season once again and lead to many Personal Bests and School Records being set.

Next year we'll be staying in the dorms (if possible) and the cost will go up slightly for camp for the dorm stay and a few other fun activites.
